37,000 pieces of literature distributed (includes Enterprise, 2 news
letters, miscellaneous leaflets and pamphlets, questionnaires,
60 kits of 10 pieces each for teachers, manuals, etc.).
15 new books added to Alliance library.
40 authoritative books sold.
Numerous interviews with students regarding materials for debates,
term papers, and essay contest for Inter-Collegiate association.
4 teacher training projects (promotion of attendance at A.S.M.
School and granting of fellowships, two series of lectures at
Provincial Normal School, lecture at the Faculty of Education,
and 2-day Institute on Alcohol Education).
Numerous consultations held in relation to the work of the Bracken
Commission. Two major briefs prepared and presented by the
Alliance. Coverage of all the public hearings of the Commis-
sion by Alliance secretary.
Start made in the creation of a filmstrip library. We have two
filmstrip projectors, and several excellent filmstrips—Alcohol
1, Alcohol 2, Of Cats and People, and Not My Community.
Continued use being made of our films by ourselves and through
loan service. Our new film added “What About Drinking”.
Others on order re Alcoholism.
