Last summer the plumbing installations were completed by the
end of July and this spring the project has been that of filling in the
low lying spots of property.
Mrs. Ingibjorg Olafsson, Camp Director, reported that 43 more
had enrolled last year than the previous year. Mrs. Olafsson said
that it was possible to reach the young people through work at the
camp where you couldn’t reach them otherwise. She had received
many letters of thanks for the wonderful religious help children had
received at camp. She expressed thanks to all those who had helped
during the summer and to the different Ladies Aids who sponsored
the closing nights of the different groups of campers.
Library—The interior of the library was all painted before the
opening of the camping season last year. Financial statement: May,
1954, balance, $3.83. Donations, $15.00. Bank interest, May, 1955,
$2.29, leaving a balance of $21.12.
Temperance—Mrs. Margret Bardal, representative of the Luth-
eran Women’s League to the Manitoba Temperance Alliance, gave
a report. A donation of $25.00 was made to the M.T.A. funds.
Ardis—Financial report given by Mrs. Inga Gillies, Manager of
Ardis: Receipts, $981.03. Disbursements, $1,011.28. Expenditure over
receipts, $30.25. Balance from last year, $1,045.73. Funds on hand,
May 31st, 1955, $1,015.48.
