poor health herself. She met life’s troubles and tribulations with
courage and optimism, always ready to lend a helping hand in
need.
I thank her especially for her loyalty to the Icelandic Church
and the Icelandic services there in, which she attended regularly.
She loved the Icelandic hymns that she had learned at her mother’s
knee. Jesus Christ was her dear Saviour, her light and life—and
almighty God gave her strength and peace of mind. We thank
her for her life on earth, for her friendship and loyalty and pray
God to bless and comfort her daughter and her son and their
families.
And at this hour of parting we must remember that Christ
rose from the dead—and “whosoever believeth on Him shall live
even though he die.” — Farewell my dear Anna, your soul has gone
to a brighter and a fairer land, and the Saviour will welcome you
and take you in His loving arms into eternal life. Farewell.
