viG gengum tvö - í apríl var það víst
er vorsins fuglar náttúrunni sungu
fagran oð - um grasi vaxna grund
í grænni laut við settumst niður hljoð
horfðumst í augu - héldum þá um stund
himin og jörðu sameinast í eitt
og umlykja okkur, eins og hvítleit hönd
sem heldur perlum tveim í sinni greip
í augu horfðumst innilega og heitt
okkar beggja hjörtu slógu títt
þá brosti hún til mín kankvíslega og kvað :
"komdu nú með viskípelann fljótt"
