1979); most common above 600 m (Wesenberg-
Lund, 1941).

anomioides Davidson (1887).
Recent description: Brunton and Curry (1979: 48-49,
fig. 24).
Previous published records: None, but Wesenberg-
Lund, (1940) suggested that the species perhaps
could be found at the Faroe Islands as it has been
taken by «Porcupine» north of Shetland.
BIOFAR stations: 302, 492, 497, 498, 516, 524.
Area: Southwest of Faroe Islands (Lousy bank, Bill
Bailey Bank, Faroe Bank, Wyville-Thomson
Ridge).
Depth range: 398-916 m.
