Krabbalíki í lungum hegða sér oftast eins og góð-
kynja æxli og langtíma lífshorfur þessara sjúklinga
eru yfirleitt mjög góðar. Sjúklingar með afbrigði-
lega vefjagerð eru oftar með útbreiddan sjúkdóm
og lífshorfur þeirra eru marktækt verri. Hins
vegar geta sjúklingar með dæmigerð krabbalíki
einnig haft meinvörp (14,8%) og sjúkdómurinn
leitt til dauða. Þess vegna getur vefjagerð þess-
ara æxla ekki talist áreiðanleg til að spá fyrir um
klíníska hegðun þeirra og margt bendir til þess að
miðmætisspeglun og jáeindaskönn séu mikilvæg
við mat á horfum.
