Table A1 lists all known vertical air photos which show Grímsvötn while Table A2 lists the oblique air pho-
tos that have been used in this study. It is far from being a complete list of aerial observations of the area. We
have not been able to find photos from flights by Pálmi Hannesson on May 13, 1941 during a jökulhlaup nor
flights on February 22, 1946 and February 10, 1947 by Steinþór Sigurðsson and Sigurður Þórarinsson
(Þórarinsson and Sigurðsson, 1947).
