Melsedin —methaqualone hydrochloride —is a non-barbiturate
hypnotic which produces natural sleep. It is ot low toxicity, is often
effective where other hypnotics have failed, and side-effects are
negtigible. Melsedin acts within 15-30-minutes and its etfect lasts
for 6-8 hours. Neither tolerance nor addiction to Melsedin has
been demonstrated.
