RESEARCH LAWYER
The EFTA Court in Luxembourg invites applications for the
position of a research lawyer which is expected to fall va-
cant from 1 January 2014 for a period of one year, with the
possibility of prolongation.
The post involves providing advice on both substantive and
procedural points of law arising in cases before the EFTA
Court, preparing drafts of judgments and procedural docu-
ments, as well as contributing to the deliberations of the
Court through written notes.
Applicants should be qualified to practise law or have
taught law at university level, be fluent in English (the
Court’s working language), and be fully conversant with
European Union law. Familiarity with the EEA legal system
would be an asset, as would significant relevant experi-
ence of legal practice or teaching - in particular working
experience or traineeship at the Court of Justice of the
European Union.
This is an important post that involves a high degree of
responsibility. Competitive salary and working conditions
are guaranteed accordingly.

“vacancies”), a letter of motivation and copies of diplo-
mas, together with the names and addresses of one or
two referees who have experience of the applicant’s work

Doktorsnemi

í líf- og læknavísindum á sviði blóðsjúkdóma
Læknadeild Háskóla Íslands auglýsir lausa til umsóknar þriggja ára launaða stöðu doktorsnema
í samvinnu við Karólínska háskólasjúkrahúsið í Svíþjóð og National Institutes of Health í Bandaríkjunum.
Verkefnið heitir: Lýðgrunduð rannsókn á bráðahvítblæði/mergfrumumisþroska hjá sjúklingum með
mergfrumuæxli.
Verkefnið er fjármagnað af styrk úr dánarbúi Ásrúnar Einarsdóttur og verður unnið að hluta
til við blóðsjúkdómadeild Karólínska háskólasjúkrahússins í Stokkhólmi. Viðfangsefni doktorsnemans
verður að rannsaka áhættuþætti og meingerð bráðahvítblæðis hjá sjúklingum með mergæxli
(e. multiple myeloma). Leiðbeinandi nemandans verður Sigurður Yngvi Kristinsson, prófessor við
læknadeild Háskóla Íslands og sérfræðingur í blóðsjúkdómum við Landspítala Háskólasjúkrahús.
Umsóknarfrestur er til og með 23. júní 2013. Ráðið er í starfið til þriggja ára frá 1. september 2013.
Hæfniskröfur
Umsækjendur þurfa að hafa BS-gráðu í heilbrigðisvísindum eða skyldum greinum.
Meistarapróf, reynsla af rannsóknum sem og góð kunnátta í sænsku eða öðrum norrænum
tungumálum er æskileg. Valið verður úr umsóknum á grundvelli námsárangurs, starfsreynslu
og tengingar bakgrunns og menntunar við viðfang verkefnisins.
