Responsibilities:
• Lead and drive Marel’s overall strategic planning
• Lead or support development of strategic plans in
different business units and functions
• Identify, drive and/or support strategic initiatives
across business units and functions, including
follow-up
• Manage outside consultants in cross-functional
projects
• Improve overall operations and align execution
with strategy
• Drive, support and follow up on implementation of
strategic and operational projects
• Lead market analysis to support many different
types of decision making
• Support the Executive Team and key leaders with
decision making
• Support and lead best practice sharing across
business units and locations
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Business, Economics,
Engineering or equivalent is strongly preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in leading and/
or supporting strategic business development,
corporate development, or operational excellence
efforts
• First-rate business and financial understanding,
and excellent project management skills
• Team player with experience in leading cross-
functional projects and teams and working closely
with top-level executives
• Experience in management consulting is strongly
preferred
• Highest integrity and outstanding interpersonal
and leadership abilities, including excellent
stakeholder management skills
• Strong people management skills, inspiring and
motivating personality
• Excellent communication, facilitation and
knowledge dissemination skills
• Structure, discipline and exceptional work ethic
• Experience in an international and multicultural
work environment
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities:
• Guide the execution of Marel’s digital vision
• Drive development of business units’ digital
strategies
• Support product management in developing
holistic Marel offerings, with emphasis on digital
elements
• Lead identification, development and prioritization
of digital squad projects with business units
• Help drive digital standards adoption in various
Marel units
• Provide input for Marel’s digital platform roadmap
• Co-develop monetization strategies for Marel
applications
• Project manage, in collaboration with marketing,
communication to different stakeholders inside and
outside of Marel
Requirements:
• M.Sc. in relevant field/MBA or equivalent
experience is preferable
• 4+ years’ experience in digital development with
track record of identifying and developing digital
value propositions
• Burning interest in digitalization and technology
• Experience supporting strategic initiatives and
projects, implementing successful strategies and
working with senior management
• Broad technical knowledge and experience with
software/system development and delivery
• Excellent stakeholder management,
communication skills and strong collaborative spirit
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
with strong attention to detail
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal
The Director Strategy and Development
role focuses on building and leading a
team that can identify, prioritize, plan
and run key cross-functional projects
that are essential to Marel’s current
and future success. The Director is
responsible for leading and driving the
projects as well as managing different
stakeholders to ensure success.
The Digital Strategy Manager will,
as part of the Digital Transformation
Team, help Marel business units realize
their digital opportunities by guiding
them in creating digital strategies and
supporting their execution. Furthermore,
the Manager will support the further
development of other digital units
within Marel.
