in connection with buying, etc., were Mr. Hrolfur Sigurdson, Gimli and
Mr. S. O. Bjerring, Winnipeg.
Many finishing touches inside the buildings and on the camp grounds
háve yet to be done and plans are under way to construct a road, paths,
a fence, a tennis court, etc. It was proposed to establish a camp library,
for which a little room was built in the Hall. Some books have already
been donated. A committee was named to be in charge of collecting
books, its members being: Mrs. Flora Benson, Winnipeg; Mrs. Sigthora
Tomasson, Hecla; Mrs. Ingunn Fjeldsted, Arborg.
Numerous articles have been donated to the camp by individuals
and societies; many were brought to the convention, including pillows,
quilts and blankets. In time we hope to have an ample supply to cover
fhe camp’s requirements.
Operation of the Camp—In the operation, as well as in the building,
of the camp, the outstanding leadership qualities of our president, Mrs.
T J- Olafsson and our camp committee convenor, Mrs. Fjola Gray, have
come to the fore. With the splendid co-operation of their committees
and of the various Ladies’ Aid Societies, tiieir work has spelt success.
In her report Mrs. Gray stated that 150 campers had attended last sum-
mer with 20 leaders and workers throughout the season. All these people
gave good reports of their stay. This summer the attendance is even
greater. The program for 1947 was—Convention, June 22—24; Sunday
School Teacher’s Rally, June 27—29; Christian Leadership Training
Course, with Rev. E. H. Fafnis as Dean of Camp, July 2—11; Boys, 7—14
years, July 12—23; Minister’s Retreat, July 24—28; Mothers with children,
July 29—August 5; Girls, 7—14 years, August 6—15. All groups have
been well attended except the “Motliers-with-children Group”.
A board of Directors was chosen at the Convention to supervise all
w°rk at the camp being responsible, however, to the L.W.L. convention.

3. Sunday School Work—Mrs. H. G. Henrickson outlined the work
done in outlying districts in past years through the L.W.L. She has been
^be leader in this work for many years, sending out literature and teach-
ers when possible. This year she devoted her efforts to enrolling child-
ren in these districts, chiefly out along Lake Manrtoba, with “Sunday
School by Mail”, a course under the direction of Miss Elenore Gillstrom,
U.L.C.A. representative in Canada, with headquarters at Saskatoon,
