Fyrirtækið Kvikk sf.
varð tíu ára þann 4. júlf
s.l. Kvikk hefur náð
verulega góðutn ár-
angri með sölu á hausskurðar-
vélinni Kvikk 205 á undanförn-
um árum og eru nú þegar seld-
ar á sjöunda tug véla að núvirði
allt að 150.000.000-. kr. Þar af
2/3 hlutar erlendis. Vélar hafa
verið seldar til 10 þjóðlanda auk
íslands. Mjög góður árangur
hefur náðst á fjarlægum mörk-
uðum svo sem í Alaska og So-
vétríkjunum, en til þeirra landa
hafa verið seldar samtals 9 vél-
ar.
Liðlega 20 vélar hafa verið
seldar á íslandi og er ekki fjarri
lagi að með tilkomu Kvikk
hausskurðartækninnar hafi
skapast 1/2 milljarður í auknu
útflutningsverðmæti með út-
flutningi vélarinnar og þorsk-
hausaafurða.
Kvikk hefur nú þróað nýja vél
Kvikk 207 sem tekur við af 205
vélinni sem ekki er lengur í
framleiðslu. Kvikk 207 vélin var
þaulreynd á síðustu vertíö hér á
íslandi og í Alaska með frábær-
um árangri.
Nýja Kvikk 207 hausskurðar-
vélin hefur mun víðara vinnslu-
svið heldur en gamla 205 vélin
og er auk þess tæknilega full-
komnari og þarfnast mun
minna viðhalds. Vélin er jafn-
hæf við vinnslu þorskhausa af
Atlantshafsþorski sem og

The company Kvikk sf.
was ten years old on the 4th
of July this year. Over the
years, Kvikk has achieved
good results with the sales of
the Fish Head Splitting Ma-
chine Kvikk 205, and have
sold more than sixty ma-
chines at the present value
of Isl.kr. 150.000.000. Two
thirds of these have been
sold abroad to 10 different
countries excluding lceland.
Very good results have been
achieved in distant markets
such as Alaska and the Sovi-
et Union. They have bought
a total of 9 machines.
Kvikk has developed a new
machine Kvikk 207 which re-
places the 205 machine
which is no longer manufac-
tured.
The new Kvikk 207 Head
Splitting Machine has a
wider working range than the
old 205 model and is more-
over technically improved
and requires less mainte-
nance. The machine per-
forms equally well on cod
heads of the Atlantic Ocean
cod as with the Pacific
Ocean cod. It easily manag-
es heads from 0,5 kg up to
3,5 kg.

strictest requirements and
the highest standards.
Over the past years, Kvikk
sf. has collected information
about the possibilities of
working heads of other types
of fish from other countries.
These investigations have
led to the development of a
new machine, the Kvikk 210
Salmon Head Splitting Ma-
chine. This machine is spe-
cially designed to work Pacif-
ic Ocean salmon. Sigurður
Kristinsson inventor, is the
designer of this machine.
At The lceiandic Fisheries
Exhibition in Reykjavík Kvikk
sf. will concentrate on pre-
senting The New Kvikk 207
Head Splitting Machine for
cod, and the Kvikk 210 ma-
chine will also be on display.
Kvikk will also display ma-
chines from the Canadian
company Canpolar East
Inc., for whom Kvikk is the
lcelandic agent. These will
be Mince Washer which is a
new innovation and a new
Cod Tongue Cutter which
undoubtedly will prove to be
very popular in lceland.
