Ofnasmiöjan var
stofnuö 1936, fyrst
og fremst til fram-
leiðslu á ofnum, og
starfaði viö þá framleiðslu nær
eingöngu fram á fimmta ára-
tuginn. Núna eru starfandi fjór-
ar deildir hjá Ofnasmiöjunni,
hilludeild, ofnadeild, ryöfría-
deild og verslunar- og þjón-
ustudeild.
OFNASMIÐJAN HF. - Man-
ufacturers of heaters
Ofnasmiðjan was estab-
lished in 1936 and began by
manufacturing heaters. Now
they have increased to 4 de-
partments.
For the past few years the
Stainless Steel Department
has manufactured roe sepa-
raters, weighing scale covers
and washing basins and drain
boards.
The Shelf Department has
developed shelving systems
for small, large and heavy arti-
cles. Stacking on pallets in the
heavy articles system uses
about 30% less floor space
than the traditional methods
and is suitable anywhere a lot
of merchandise is stacked
e.g. in warehouses and fish
processing plants freezers.
The Heater Department
manufactures a large range of
heaters mostly though Top-
pheaters and Svissheaters.
Ofnasmiöjan has always set
high standards for their prod-
ucts and amongst other
things they use thicker steel in
their heaters than is used in
imported heaters which gives
them more endurance.
The Sales- and Service-
Department sells imported
plastic articles, formica plastic
sheets, fish cases and vari-
ous damp resistant toolbox-
es.
At the lcelandic Fisheries Ex-
hibition Ofnasmiöjan will put
their emphasis on promoting
their heavy stack system at
their stall number D 101.
