Helgarsportið
Það er um að gera að missa ekki af Helgar-
sportinu. Þar er farið yfir helstu niðurstöður
helgarinnar og liðinnar viku í íþróttaheimin-
um. Gott fyrir þá sem ekki gáfu sér tíma til
þess að horfa á leiki helgarinnar en í Helgar-
sportinu geta þeir séð mörkin.

Leikarinn Ving Rhames ieikur i
kvikmyndinni Holiday Heartsem

átta. Ving Rhames fæddist i Harlem

ungur að aldri. Hann gekk i the
New York High Schooi of Perform-
ing Arts og eftir það gekk hann í
hinn virta leiklistarskóla Juilliard.
Hann iék á sviði framan afog sér-
hæfði sig í því að leika í verkum eft-
ir Shakespeare. Fræg ersagan þeg-
ar Ving hitti útigangsmann i Was-
hington sem seinna reyndist vera

eldri bróðir hans sem misst hafði
sambandið við fjölskylduna eftir
Vietnamstríðið. Fyrst stóra tækifæri
Ving's áhvita tjaldinu var i kvik-
mynd Quentins Tarantino, Pulp
Fiction. Eftir það fékk hann nóg af
hiutverkum. Hans stærsta var
ásamt Tom Cruise i kvikmyndinni
Mission Impossible. Siðast lék hann
íDawn of the Dead og þótti standa
sig vel. Ving Rhames er eins og kall-
arnir.is myndu orða það helmass-
aðurog flottur. Hann er ákveðinn
leikari sem skilar alltafsínu.
