Öldrunarmatið beinist einkum að sjálfsbjarg-
argetu og stuðningskerfi hins aldraða og stuðl-
ar að því að hún eða hann geti dvalið lengur í
heimahúsi. Til þess að það takist þarf oft að
beita fjölþátta forvarnarstarfi.
