Biographical note:
Jákup Pauli Gregoriussen, * 1932. Faroese architect, painter
and writer. G. studied architecture at the Royal Academy's
architecture school in Copenhagen from 1957-1960 and
started his own office in Tórshavn in 1961. Since then he
has become known by several famous building and restora-
tion projects, e.g. the administration building of Føroya
Sparikassi and the building of Listasavn Føroya, both in
Tórshavn. G. has published several books about the history
and present state of Faroese vemacular architecture
