Mexican Gulf, Florida, Cuba, the Faroes and
Rockall Trough.
World bathymetrical range: 260 - 3712 m.
Remarks: A. M. Clark (in litt.) expresses scepticism
for Dr. Downey’s determination of some echino-
derm specimens as P. acicula.
