From the Murman coast along the Norwegian coast
to Bohuslán in Sweden, the Faroe-Shetland Chan-
nel south to the Bay of Biscay and Senegal.
World bathymetrical range: (19) 70 - 1,850 m
Remarks: Clark (Clark and Downey 1992) states that
it is possible to misidentify Psilaster andromeda as
a species of the genus Persephonaster due to the
differing extent of the superomarginal plates on the
upper disc surface.
