SKÓLABLAÐIÐ 71 MY LIFE’S A SOAP OPERA I was minding my own busi- ness when the doorbell rang. It was □ Ken Barlow. □ J.R. □ Colonel Ghadaffi. „Oh, please", 1 begged. „Not now! My mother is in Dthe hospital! □ the Marines! □ the home for unwed mothers! My best friend is in □ prison! □ continent! □ cognito! My dog is □ dead!“ □ dying!“ □ rabid!“ But there was nothing I could do. I was over- come by □ passion! □ revulsion! □ hypertension! We □ kissed. □ danced. □ armwrestled. Suddenly, the door burst open! lt was my □ doctor! □ solicitor! □ aerobic dance instructor! „You have □ two weeks □ two days □ two minutes left to live“, he announced. And with that, we threw all caution to the wind and joined in a frenzy of □ break-dancing. □ carpet cleaning. □ sexual expression. So you can see without you around, it was just another boring day.
