LÆKNABLAÐIÐ is published
jointly by the Icelandic Medical
Association and tbe Medical As-
sociation of Reykjavík; it appears
bimonthly, six issues covering a
yearly volume. Due to technical
faults in numbering earlier issue.s
of LÆKNABLAÐIÐ, the year
1965 was divided into three vol-
umes, instead of one, thus cover-
ing vols. 49, 50, and 51; with two
numbers in each.
Original articles are as a rule
summarized in English, but it is
the intention of the Editors to pro-
vide foreign readers with a yearly
English index as well, briefly sum-
marizing original papers.
Reprints are obtainable from
LÆKNABLAÐIÐ, Domus Medica,
Reykjavík, Iceland. Original ar-
ticles will also be provided in
translation for a small fee.

This paper deals with disease
entities directly or indirectly
attributable to hereditary and/
or constitutional faults in me-
.senchymal tissues. Examples of
such diseases are given, and it
is suggested, that systematic
examination of connective tis-
sue systems may be valuable in
the diagnosis of those diseases,
as well as in preplacement me-
dical examinations.
