Nord- REFO project on economic and political opportuni-
ties for small Nordic societies/economies with a special
constitutional status ... The purpose is to investigate the im-
pact on economic and political development of the different
institutional set-up in order to assess the opportunities for
self-reliant economic development strategies within the ex-
isting constitutional frameworks..." The project is headed
by Lise Lyck of the Copenhagen Business School Depart-
ment of Management, Politics and Philosophy in Denmark.

<The most comprehensive study of contemporary Faroese
economy available in English and the second major study in
the NordREFO research project about "The Small Nordic
Jurisdictions in a Changing World" headed by Lise Lyck.
"The primary objectives of the book are the following: To
provide a structural analysis of the Faroese Economy as it
exists today; To present the Faroese industries in a way that
inspires future discussions; To stimulate the interest of indi-
viduals from outside the Faroe Islands and educate them
about the region's economic opportunities and cultural as-
pects; To further stimulate interest for all Faroese individu-
