VP of Product Management
As VP of Product Management you will be responsible for
managing the entire product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the Product Roadmap and its prioritization
– work closely with Meniga’s founders to define a product
vision that achieves Meniga’s business objectives.
Coordinate with Engineering to manage product develop-
ment from inception to launch.
Coordinate user research and perform quantitative and
qualitative analysis. Understanding the business and the
needs/motivations of Meniga users is critical for your
role.
Evaluate overall design, navigation and functionality.
Help maintain a clean, consistent, easy-to-use site and
champion best-in-class user experience.
Manage the post-launch process to evolve and opti-
mize features based on ongoing customer feedback and
quant itative measurements such as A/B and Multivariate
Testing.
Research, negotiate with and manage partners and
vendors necessary for new features.
Know your numbers – maintain and report on metrics on
feature adoption and usage.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree required, preferably in business
or IT. MBA or equivalent preferred.
4+ years of online marketing experience with at least 2
years holding direct responsibility for product function-
ality, user experience or similar.
Deep understanding of customer-centric design and
knowledge of design best practices.
Passion for Internet technology and usability; strong
awareness of emerging web trends. Knowledge of
personal finance is a plus.
Thorough understanding and experience with online lead
generation and monetization.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Must be fluent in English and be comfortable interact-
ing with a diverse group of technical and non-technical
people. Other Western-European languages are a plus.
Proven ability to champion ideas, drive key decisions and
successfully ship products.
Experience with leading Web Metrics tools such as
Google Analytics.
VP of Community Management
As VP of Community Management you will be responsible
for engaging with Meniga’s user community ensuring that
user satis faction goals are met and user interests are well
represented in the product development process.
Responsibilities:
Gain a deep understanding of the user experience –
execute qualitative and quantitative user research,
including fielding surveys, organizing usability sessions,
talking to users, etc. Soliciting feedback to understand
the user experience is critical to your role.
Define the voice of Meniga towards its user community
in Iceland that can serve as a template for other markets
too. This includes defining a distinct style for all user
communications, authoring and managing newsletters,
help texts, written content on Meniga, defining and man-
aging a Meniga blog, etc.
Represent the user in Meniga’s product development
process. Champion best-in-class user experience.
Manage and handle customer support, training sessions
and web casts.
Know your numbers – maintain and report on a set of
metrics on the user experience.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree required preferably in technology,
psychology or marketing.
4+ years of online marketing experience with at least 2
years holding direct responsibility for customer support,
usability, training, website management or similar.
Passion for customer satisfaction and thorough under-
standing of IT and website abilities.
Knowledge/Experience of software development and/or
personal finance is a big plus.
Must have superior interpersonal skills and be an out-
standing communicator in Icelandic and English, both
spoken and the written word. Other languages are a plus.
Experience with leading Web Metrics tools such as
Google Analytics.
Senior Software Developer
As Senior Software Developer you will play a key role in
developing Meniga’s products.
Responsibilities:
Involvement in the full development lifecycle: Design, Coding,
Test, Build, QA, deployment and maintenance. Work closely
with product managers and partners.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in technology required, graduate
degree preferred.
At least 3 years of experience of software development
in C# or equivalent.
At least 2 years experience and demonstrated ability of
building high-quality and high-usability web applications.
Experience with modern web technologies and database
programming.
Must be fluent in English. Other Western European
languages are a plus.
Experience or knowledge of the following is a plus:
• JavaScript programming using jQuery.
• Microsoft SQL Server database programming, tuning
and administration.
• ASP.NET MVC framework and ADO.NET Entity
Framework.
• Web service development using WCF and REST.
• Agile software development with Scrum.
• Mobile development for J2ME and/or iPhone
platforms.
• Web accessibility and coding standards using XHTML
and CSS.
• XML, XPath and XSLT.
• Mail server optimization (SMTP).
