clalur area. Although slices are evenly spacecl, ranging from warm in figure 7A to liot in 7H,
actual radiation temperatures are not clefined. 7C shows the greatest number (more than 120)
of recognizably distinct points of thermal emission. Only the largest and hottest steam vents
and solfataras are recorded in steps F, G. and H, including Gámur and new steam vent south-
east of Jiikullón.
