the surge events. The glacier variation records are fur-
ther discussed and related to the climate of Iceland
during the observation period by Jóhannesson and
Sigurðsson (this volume).

landic Glaciological Society over a period of 65

of glaciers, this data set of glacier variations in Ice-

glacier variations and made the graphs. He also sug-
