C’N I CANOE YOU
UP THE RIVER
C’n I Canoe You Up The River?
C’n I canoe you up the stream?
C’n I Canoe You Up The River?
Like I did in last night’s dream?
We‘11 drift a moment in the moonlight,
I’ll fish for little things to say;
And with the help of Mjster Moonlight,
Maybe you’ll see things my way.
I tried to tell you how I care,
But never made the grade;
Now things might change if I could
have
A setting for my serenade.
So, C’n I Canoe You Up The River?
I’ll be as nice as I can be;
And hope that while we’re up the river,
You’ll go overboard for me.
Well, gee, you see it worked out fine,
And now I know you care;
The moonlight really helped my line,
And we’ll be such a happy pair.
Now, C’n I Canoe You Up The River?
C’n I canoe you back to town?
We’ll find a cottage by the river,
And we’ll call on Parson Brown.
ORANGE COLOURED SKY
1 was walkin’ along
Mindin’ my bus’ness when out of an
Orange Coloured Sky.
Flash! Bam! Alakazam! wonderful
you came by.
I was hummin’a tune
Drinkin’ in sunshine when out of that
Orange Coloured view
Flash! Bam! Alakazam! I got a look
at you.
One look and I yelled „Timber
Watch out for flying glass“
’Cause the cciling fell in, and the
bottom fell out,
I went into a spin, and I started to shout
„I,ve been hit! This is it! This is it!“
I was walkin along
Mindin’ my bus’ness when love came
and hit me in thc eye.
Flash! Bam! Alakazam! Out of an
Orange Coloured Sky.
I was Orange colourcd,
Purple striped,
Pretty green Polka dotted sky
Flash! Bam! Alakazam! good byc.
MOLASSES, MOLASSES
There was a man named Pete
Who dearly loved to eat.
He chewed and chewed on so mach
food,
He can’t stand on his feet.
There was a man named Jack
Who stepped upon a crack.
Hc was so thin he fell right in
And never did come back.
