unparalleled in this form; other manuscripts have
fijrer for til, but this also is rare.

2420 œ\ Emended by C. C. Rafn, (Valdimar Ásmun-
darson) and Guðni Jónsson in their editions to nú,
but perhaps æ means “at any rate”.
272 po\ Emended in 11 (Jón Gissursson, see Appara-
tus); the sense could be improved by inserting er
after po: “yet as I see your life is at stake, I will not
reject him ...”
2820 slœmliga\ This and slaglega in 9, and slœglega
in some other manuscripts not used in the Apparatus,
are all no doubt corruptions of slœliga (as Finnur
Jónsson notes in his edition).
3118 ad\ Other manuscripts agree on pa and presum-
ably preserve the original reading (for pa er), but for
this use of ad, cf. 514.
3120 ömátuliga] So the manuscripts, meaning “im-
moderately”. But ömáttuliga, “faintly”, as in the edi-
tions, would be more suitable in the context.
