Horfur sjúklinga með belgkirtilkrabbamein í
brisi eru almennt séð betri en við önnur bris-
krabbamein ef þau eru fjarlægð áður en þau
vaxa inn í aðlæg líffæri. Sýnt hefur verið fram á
fimm ára lifun hjá 64% þessara sjúklinga
(6,33).
Ályktun: Hér hefur verið lýst þremur belg-
æxlum í brisi. Auk þess hefur verið farið yfir
það sem ritað hefur verið um þessa sjúkdóma.
Belgæxli í brisi reynast vera sjaldgæf og lítill
hluti belgmeina í brisi sem flest eru góðkynja.
Þau gefa oftast lítil einkenni og greinast oft
fyrir tilviljun eða seint. Mikilvægi þeirra liggur
aðallega í því að hluti þeirra getur orðið ill-
kynja með tímanum og því skiptir töluverðu
máli að þau séu greind rétt frá upphafi. Horfur
eru venjulega góðar ef sjúklingarnir fá rétta
meðhöndlun.
