Melsedin —methaqualone hydrochloride —is a non-barbiturate
hypnotic which produces natural sleep, It is of low toxicity, is often
effectíve where other hypnotics have failéd, and síde-effects are
negiigible. Meisedin acts within 15-30'minutes and its effect lasts
for 6-8 hours. Neíther tolerance nor addiction to Melsedin has
been demonstrated.
