In N. common in the parts around Eyjafjörður; in N.W. common around ísa-
fjörður, also recorded as frequent in the valleys on the south coast of Vestfirðir
(G.Þ., in mscr., 1939). Otherwise rather rare; recorded from one place only, in
S.W. and S. Not in the central highland. See fig. 53.

In bogs and marshes, on moist soil, on the banks of rivulets, on grassy slopes.
