Eur.: S.; Scandinavia, Finland, East Baltic countries, central Russia, central Eu-
ropean mts., Pyrenees.—Asia: Western and eastern Siberia, Amurland, Manchuria,
Hokkaido.
Excluded species.
Several other species of Carex are recorded by previous authors as found in Ice-
land, but no herbarium specimens are in evidence, and it is also evident that several
of the species in question cannot be natives of Iceland. Below follows an alphabetical
list of Carices which should be excluded from the Icelandic Flora.
