This species is described by Rottböll on Icelandic specimens, but it has after-
wards been ignored by most authors of Icelandic floristics. Strömfelt, loc. cit., has
given it as new to Iceland. It was considered very rare in Icel., but the investigations
from recent years have added many new localities from various parts of the country,
see fig. 88. It has certainly been overlooked in many places, and is presumably rather
common along the coast of N. and E.

In wet, sandy places near the sea.
