Icelandic : Sikjabrúða. Danish : Smalbladet Vandstjerne.
Common in N. and S., and found in several places in the other parts of the
land. Not recorded from the central highland.
The variety þedunculata (DC.), with + longstalked fruits, sometimes growing
above water, and with broadly linear leaves, has been found in two localities:
Meðalfellsvatn, W. (G.M., 1902), and Laugarvatn, S. (H.J., 1911).
Life-form: HH (Hydrophyte).
In ponds and ditches, in brooks, and in places with slowly running water in the
rivers.
