In N. found in many places from Eyjafjörður eastward to Jökulsá á Fjöllum,
especially in the country around Mývatn. It also occurs frequently in S. and S.W.,
and is recorded from N.W. (Isafjörður, cp. St.St., 1924, p. 121). Not found in E.
or in the central parts. See fig. 100.

On moist sandy and gravelly soil; often at hot springs.
