This species is found in various places in N., especially in the country around
Eyjafjörður, and in the parts south of Axarfjörður. In N.W., too, it has been found
in several places. In S. it is found at Flaga in Skaftártunga; in E. it is recorded
from Egilsstaðir on Lagarfljót. From the central parts it has, as far as I know, first
been rccorded when I found it at the lake Hvitárvatn in 1934. It was growing there
in scveral places in low scrub on southward exposed slopes, and was flowering
copiously. It is vcry probable that it is rather frequent in other parts also. See fig. 137.

In low scrub, on herb-slopes, in rock-fissures.
