Only found in the southwestern part of
Icel., especially in the tracts from Reykjavík
to Hvalfjörður. On the Snæfellsnes peninsula
it has been found in two places, and in
Vestfirðir at Saurbær in Rauðasandi. See
fig. 115.

Grassy slopes, and grassy spots in the lava-
fields-

Common in most parts. In the mountains it is typical of the vegetation of the
snow-patches, in company with Salix herbacea. In S. Icel. it occurs almost exclusively
in the hills.
Life-form: H (Ch.).
In fell-field, heaths, in Salix herbacea-vegetation; usually at a high level.
