Found here and there along the coast in raost parts, except in S., whence it has
not yet been recorded; see fig. 56.

On marshy land and in saline meadows, near the sea.

This species is recorded as found by Vilhjálmur Grímsson at Rauðá in Fljóts-
heiði, N. (cp. S.S., loc. cit.) ; I myself have not seen the specimens in question, and
nothing definite can be said about its occurrence in Iceland.

In N., N.W. and S.W. common or frequent. In southern Iceland very rare, cp.
Steindórsson, 1932, p. 36. In the central highland it has been found in the following
places: Arnarfell hið mikla and Hvítárvatn (J.Gr., 1934); Jökulsá near Laugá, E.
(J.Gr., 1935).

In móland, on grassy slopes and rock-ledges, in low Salix scrub, urðs.
