Sýnt hefur verið fram á jákvæð áhrif slíkra verkefna á heilsu og heilsusamlegt líferni starfsmanna (Neville, Merrill & Kumpfer, 2011). Rannsóknir sýna í vaxandi mæli að það er gott fyrir starfsemi fyrirtækja að einbeita sér að heilsu og öryggi starfsfólks.
