Seems to be very rare in Iceland. H.H. contains specimens from only three
localities, all in N., viz. Þönglabakki in Þorgeirsfjörður, Grjótnes on Melrakkasljetta,
and Skútustaðir at Mývatn. Furthermore it is recorded by Ing. Óskarsson (1933,
p. 41) as found west of Kálfárborg in Bárðardalur, N. (1927). One locality in W.,
Hreðavatn in Mýrasýsla, is recorded by J. Lid, Oslo.

In bogs, on heathland.

Common in most parts of the lowland; it seems to be rare in the central parts,
being only recorded from Laugahraun and Kýlingar (S.S.).
f. tenuis Lge. is found at Þóroddsstaðir in Ólafsfjörður, N. (See St.St., 1924, p. 40).
