In the southwestern and western parts common at the hot springs; also rather
frequcnt in N.; found in several placcs in N.W.; from East Icel. there is only one
rccord : Fáskruðsfjörður (cp. Abromeit, 1905, p. 124). In the central highland found
at the hot springs at Hveravellir (J.Gr., 1934) and in Kerlingarfjöll (V.R., 1935).
