at a high level. It is found in many places in the country west and southwest of
Eyjafjörður. In other parts it has so far only been recorded from very few localities.
It should be looked for everywhere in the hills. See fig. 95.

On gravelly soil, usually in the hills.

Recorded for the first time by Lindsay, loc. cit., and later on (1901) specimens
found by Helgi Jónsson at Dyrhólar, S., are determined as this species. The speci-
mens collected by H.J. are, however, rather poor, and not altogether sufficient for a
definite determination.

Common in the southern and southwestern parts; found in N. in two places

In rocks, on stony and clayey soil; on moist sand and gravel; near hot springs.
