English: Hairy Stone-crop.
Common in all parts of the lowland as well as in the central highland. A typical
plant of the flag vegetation. According to Hegi, 111. Fl. IV, 2, p. 529, S. villosum
belongs to the European mountainous element and is also calciphobous.
var. glabratum Rostr., without glandular hairs, is found in some places: Hólmar,
Vallanes and Seyðisfjörður, E.; Hofsfjall, Akureyri and Bakkagerði, N.; Horna-
fjörður, S.E.; Reykjavík, S.W.

On clayey damp soil, in moist gravel and on rocks.

Common in all parts of the lowland; also found in many places in the central
highland, for instance: Arnarfell hið mikla, Hveravellir, Hvítárvatn (J.Gr., 1934).
f. tenuis Wg., smaller, slender, with ovate-rotundate stem-leaf, and smaller flowers,
occurs here and there.

In bogs, in damp grassy places, in moist fell-field.
