Recorded by Zoéga, loc. cit., and some other earlier authors. It is a southern
plant and it is unlikely that it should have been found in Iceland.

It is not possible to tell what the S. punctata of the older authors may have
been. S. punctata L. is a species occurring in northern Russia and Siberia and
northern N. America.
