This species is no doubt accidentally introduced; it has been found in two
localities in N.: Sauðárkrókur (G.M., 1893), and at Akureyri (coll. I.Ó., 1930).—
The specimens collected at Sauðárkrókur have ripe pods (collected on Septem-
ber 5th).

Accidentally introduced; found in two places only: outside Reykjavík, S.W.
(H.S., loc. cit.), and at Kornsá, S. (St.St., 1889).

Flora Dan. tab. 699.
Icelandic: Giljaflækja. Danish : Gærde-Vikke. English : Bush Vetch, Hedge Vetch,
Crow-Pea.
Very rare in Iceland, only found in a few places south of Mýrdalsjökull, and at
Gilsbakki, W. A specimen without locality found by Steenstrup, is also kept in H.H.
The plant from Gilsbakki, collected on July 18th, is in flower, and the same is the
case with a specimen from Höfðabrekka, collected on August lst. See fig. 120.
It is impossible to tell with
certainty if this species is really
a native of Iceland, but it may
probably be so. The nature of
the localities in S. Icel. is very
suggestive of its being indigenous
to the flora.
