Icelandic: Fjalladúnurt. Danish : Bjerg-Dueurt. English : Alpine Willow-herb.
From the finds recorded, and from the herbarium material this species would
seem to be fairly common throughout Iceland, especially in the hills. In S., however,
it has been found in few places only. It is often met with in the Salix herbacea
vegetation in snow-patches, in company with Sibbaldia procumbens and other species
characteristic of these localities. Presumably common in the hills from 300—600 m.
Life-form: H.
On damp rock-ledges, in snow-patches, etc., especially in the hills.
