Forvarnir gegn myndun þrýstingssára og notkun klínískra leiðbeininga
um hagræðingu og snúninga. Þeim ber að meta hvern
einstakling við innlögn og endurmeta eftir þörfum og
sníða þarf forvarnameðferð að hverjum og einum því
enginn er eins. Þeir verða að hafa gagnreynda þekkingu í
fyrirrúmi, fræða starfsfólk og breyta starfsháttum ef þörf
er á. Forvarnagátlistar eru einnig gagnleg hjálpartæki sem
stuðla að því að unnið sé með gagnreynda þekkingu að
leiðarljósi í þverfaglegu samstarfi.
