Hprðr breaks them all with his posterior. After this they
sit down and refresh themselves with food and ale that
they have bought for them from the market. The queen
often sends them delicacies from her table but she is so
cautious that she never visits them and they never get
an opportunity to see her or talk to her except in public.
The winter passes in this way until there is only a month
till summer. The queen has them summoned and tells
them that it is now time for them to hear where they
are to be sent and for her to learn how she is to be rewarded
for giving them hospitality throughout the winter. She
then orders Stígandi to fetch her pigs, ninety in all, and
bring them to her alive and unharmed on the first day
