FRÆÐIGREINAR / SEGULÖRVUN HEILA annarra taugasjúkdóma og geðraskana, þar má eink- um nefna Parkinson sjúkdóm og geðklofa (33, 34). Lokaorð Segulörvun er nýleg rannsóknaraðferð sem er notuð til að fá betri lífeðlisfræðilega innsýn í starfsemi heil- ans og auka lífeðlismeinafræðilegan skilning á heila- sjúkdómum. Margt bendir til þess að einnig verði far- ið að nota þessa aðferð til að meðhöndla einhverja tauga- og geðsjúkdóma í framtíðinni. A taugarann- sóknastofu Landspítala er segulörvun notuð til að meta leiðslu taugaboða í miðtaugakerfi.
