TREFJAVEFSLUNGNABÓLGA

samanburði við aldursstaðl-
að þýði á íslandi (5).
hverjir fá bakslag sjúkdóms síðar. Auk þess er erf-
itt að segja til um æskilegan byrjunarskammt stera
og hve lengi á að meðhöndla. Sjúkdómurinn er í
eðli sínu breytilegur og verður meðferðin ávallt að
stjórnast af því.
Þörf er á frekari vísindalegum rannsóknum
sem leiða til betri skilnings á meingerð sjúkdóms-
ins. Skilgreina þarf betur hvernig takmarkaður
viðgerðarferill í lungum breytist yfir í viðvarandi
bólguviðbrögð sem svara þó sterum.
