Doktorssjóður Rannsóknarsjóðs Háskóla Íslands styrkti þessa rannsókn. Þá fengust styrkir úr
Styrktarsjóði Margaretar og Bents Schevings Thorsteinsson, Samfélagssjóði Landsbanka Íslands og
Þróunarsjóði innflytjendamála til að standa straum af kostnaði við gagnasöfnun.
