37 Skólamenning og námsárangur Um höfundana Amalía Björnsdóttir er dósent við Mennta- vísindasvið Háskóla Íslands. Hún lauk BA- prófi í sálfræði frá Háskóla Íslands árið 1991, M.Sc.-prófi frá University of Oklahoma 1994 og doktorsprófi frá sama skóla 1996. Hún hefur lagt stund á rannsóknir á sviði mæl- inga og prófagerðar, lestrar- og málþroska- mælinga, skólastjórnunar og áhrifa félags- legra þátta á skólastarf Netfang: amaliabj@hi.is Baldur Kristjánsson er dósent við Mennta- vísindasvið Háskóla Íslands. Hann lauk BA- prófi í uppeldisfræði og sálfræði frá Gauta- borgarháskóla árið 1976, MA-prófi frá sama skóla árið 1982 og doktorsprófi frá Kenn- araháskólanum í Stokkhólmi árið 2001. Rann- sóknir hans hafa einkum fjallað um hagi og aðbúnað ungra barna og foreldra í nútíma- samfélagi hér á landi og á Norðurlöndum. Hann lauk BA-prófi í uppeldis- og sálfræði frá Háskóla Íslands árið 1982, meistaraprófi frá Háskól- anum í Alberta í stjórnun menntastofnana 1984 og doktorsprófi frá sama skóla 1987. Rannsóknir hans hafa einkum snúist um skólastjórnun, skólaþróun og stjórnskipulag skóla. She completed a B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Iceland in 1991, and a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1996. Her major research interests are in the areas of measurement and testing (reading and language develop- ment), school management and the influence of social factors on schools. His major research interests are in the area of childhood and family life in Ice- land and a Nordic comparative perspective.
